August 27, 1992 VAT RULING NO. 103-92 NIRC Sec. 103 (a) Precedent Ruling 000-00 Mr. Alfredo R. Reyes Certified Public Accountant 49 San Miguel St., Cebu City S i r : Referring to your letter dated July 12, 1991 please be informed that the taxability of dried coconut meat and possible modification of VAT Ruling No. 190-90 is still under study. On the other hand, "Dried Seaweeds", is a marine food product still in its original state; hence, sale thereof in all stages of distribution shall be exempt from VAT under Section 103(a) of the Tax Code.
