August 10, 1992 VAT RULING NO. 097-92 NIRC Sec. 103 (c) Precedent Ruling 244-90 J.F. Ayson Customs Brokerage 1469 Prudencio Street Sampaloc, Metro Manila Attention: Mr. Jesus F. Ayson General Manager Gentlemen : This has reference to your letter dated March 23, 1992 requesting for a ruling on whether or not your client who is importing meat and bone meal to be used as feed ingredient for the consumption at his piggery farm is subject to VAT. In reply please be informed that your client's importation of meat and bone meal is subject to 10% VAT pursuant to Section 101 of the Tax Code. Section 103(c) of the same Code limits the VAT exemption of animal feeds to finished animal feeds, and to two animal feed ingredients only, viz: soya beans and fish meal. Very truly yours, (SGD.)
