Edward Litton President S i r s : This has reference to your letter dated November 6, 1989 inquiring whether or not your company's importation of 210 lbs. of Sunn Hemp seeds for experimental planting is exempt from the value-added tax (VAT). llcd In reply, please be informed that pursuant to Section 103(c) of the Tax Code, as amended, the importation of said seeds is exempt from the VAT.
