Chief Accountant S i r s : This has reference to your letter dated October 30, 1989 inquiring whether your sale of goods & services to EDSA Shangri-la Hotel is to be considered zero-rated for Value-Added Tax purposes. For this purpose, a photocopy of a part of a certain contract was attached representing that EDSA Shangri-la Hotel is exempted from payment of taxes on its importations. In reply, please be informed that the submitted document does not constitute legal basis for EDSA Shangri-la Hotel's exemption from the payment of taxes.
