Ong Import Manager Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated June 9, 1997 requesting ruling that your importation of brine shrimp eggs is exempt from the value added tax. Based on your representations and brochures submitted, the brine shrimp eggs constitute the best food for newly hatched fry of prawns and other marine animals. Such being the case, your importation of 300 cases prawn feeds covered by Bill of Lading No. 01196168/695-04752415 is exempt from the value-added tax, pursuant to Section 103(d) of the Tax Code, as amended by R.A.
