Km. 18 Armela Compound West Service Road, South Superhighway Paraaque, Metro Manila M a d a m : This has reference to your letter regarding the taxation of raw material purchases of garment exporters. In this connection, we would like to inform you that the BIR, in a letter to Secretary Tomas Alcantara of the Department of Trade & Industry, agrees in principle to zero-rate certain indirect export sales and is in the process of preparing amendments to the regulation (RR 5-87), to give effect to this agreement.
