Reiterating the Policy on Foreign Travels Even at Travellers' Expense

July 11, 2012 BUREAU OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE OPINION 1st Indorsement Respectfully referred to the Regional Director, Bureau of Local Government Finance-Department of Finance, CALABARZON, Region IV-A, 3rd Floor, Marcelita Building, National Highway, Barangay Real, Calamba City, for appropriate action, the herein attached letter of Mrs. Teresita B. Benitez, President of MERG Realty & Development Corporation, Roofdeck, Multinational Bancorporation Centre, 6805 Ayala Avenue, Makati City. It is informed that the City of Antipolo issued a Notice of Tax Increase for the year 2012 to Mrs. Benitez for her property situated therein. It is alleged that before the said notice was sent, Mrs. Benitez had already settled her real property tax liability in advance for her to avail of the 20% discount and that no improvement on the said property was introduced to justify the said increase. In view hereof, and in order that appropriate action could be taken hereon, that office is hereby instructed to conduct an ocular inspection as requested, and in order to determine the veracity of the abovementioned allegation.
