Schmitt: This refers to your letter dated August 15, 1981 requesting opinion relative to the proposed amendment of "goal No. 2 (second) of the S.B.B. by-laws and articles of incorporation" by changing the word "christian" with the all-embracing phrase "truly human". llcd There appears to be no legal impediment to the adoption of your proposed amendment. As a matter of fact, we believe that such amendment would be truly reflective of the goals of your association and at the same time, it will attract members of all denominations and sects to cooperate with you in an all effort to build the City of Man. In closing, may we remind you of the legal necessity of complying with the provisions of Sections 16 (on amendments of articles of incorporation) and 48 (on amendments of by-laws) of the Corporation Code of the Philippines.
