De Los Santos Avenue Cubao, Quezon City S i r : This refers to your letter dated August 10, 1990 questioning the policy of the Commission prohibiting the use of the term "Maharlika as part of a Corporate name. Please be informed that recently the Commission has decided to allow the use of the word "Maharlika" as part of a corporate name. In view thereof, you may now use the word "Maharlika" as part of your proposed corporate name, provided, however, that there is no existing corporation bearing the same or similar name as that of your proposed corporation.
