Don Mariano Marcos Ave. Quezon City Sir : This refers to your letter dated June 15, 1983, addressed to His Excellency, the President of the Philippines, requesting for permission to use the word "Maharlika" as part of the corporate name of the proposed corporation, "Maharlika Management and Development Corporation". In this connection, please be informed that the word "Maharlika" cannot be used as part of a corporate name inasmuch as the same is reserved for the exclusive use of the government.
