Mendoza Executive Director Gentlemen: This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 6 February 1980, requesting clarification of the particular types of advertisements and contracts prohibited for publication by the Securities and Exchange Commission. As a matter of policy, this Commission requires prior clearance of all publications advertised by country clubs/resort corporation and pre-need companies promoting the sale/issuance of their contracts/plans as well as corporations whose securities are registered with this Office. It only approves publications which have factual basis and disclosed in all the brochures, registration statements and leaflets submitted and evaluated by this Office. Accordingly, only those advertisements stamped "approved for release" by this Commission are requested to be allowed publication by your members. Very truly yours, (SGD.) ROSARIO N.
