Gonzales & Associates Suite 415-416 May Building Rizal Avenue, Manila Sir : This has reference to your letter dated May 30, 1981, inquiring whether you can use the word "National" as part of the corporate name of a proposed association of lawyers which you desire to incorporate as a non-stock, non-profit organization. In connection therewith, please be informed that the use of the word "National" is prohibited only on those corporations or companies doing business as bankers, brokers or savings institution ( Act 2612 ) and those organized for commercial or business purposes (RA 226), otherwise, the same may be allowed.
