July 28, 1982 The Rescue Unit and Special Task, Inc. c/o Mr. Armando D. Gatdula 365 D.C. Revilla St. Pasay City, Metro Manila Sir : This refers to your letter dated July 6, 1982 requesting for certification as to the veracity of the information you received that certain persons have claimed to be a members or affiliated with "Special Welfare Assistance Team, Inc." and to prevent the registration and/or use of such corporate name, alleging that Special Welfare Assistance Team, Inc., has already adopted a new corporate name, "The Rescue Unit and Special Task, Inc." which was approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 13, 1981. prcd A verification of the records on file with this Office disclosed that no association/corporation bearing the name "Special Welfare Assistance Team, Inc." has been registered with this Office except that of your corporation which has been changed to "The Rescue Unit and Special Task, Inc." (change of name approved by the Commission on April 13, 1981). Take note that very moment the new corporate name was approved by the SEC, the corporation lost the right to make use of the old name. Hence, if there are other persons who intend to make use or appropriate its former name "Special Welfare Assistance Team, Inc.", the corporation cannot restrain this group of persons from using such name. Subsequent transactions of the corporation should now be under the approved new corporate name "The Rescue Unit & Special Task, Inc.". Please be guided accordingly. Very truly yours, (SGD.) JULIO A. SULIT, JR. Associate Commissioner
