April 8, 2020 OFFICE OF THE GENERAL COUNSEL SEC ADVISORY Pursuant to the Memorandum dated 07 April 2020 issued by the Office of the Executive Secretary extending the Enhanced Community Quarantine over the entire Luzon until 30 April 2020, the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) of the Securities and Exchange Commission is hereby suspending/postponing all hearings and conferences scheduled between 17 March 2020 until 30 April 2020, or during the period of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (the "Covered Period"); provided, that any further extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) made by the Office of the President shall automatically be included as part of the Covered Period. The OGC will issue Orders relating to the new schedule of hearings and conferences after the ECQ is lifted. For cases pending with the OGC, appeals, motions and other pleadings that are due to be filed or will become due during the Covered Period, may be filed within thirty (30) calendar days reckoned from the time that the ECQ is officially lifted. The foregoing shall also apply to the filing of appeals, motions and other pleadings for cases pending with the Commission En Banc. However, those who prefer to file pleadings within the reglementary period without the need of the extension granted herein may do so by facsimile or via email at [emailprotected] .
