SEC Certification Examinations Guidelines

2020 SEC NOTICE SEC CERTIFICATION EXAMINATIONS GUIDELINES I. Health and Safety Measures 1. An examinee MUST NOT take the examination under the following conditions: a. Had flu-like symptoms such as fever, dry cough, sore throat, runny nose, nasal congestion, headache, body aches and pains, and experiences diarrhea at least 3 days prior, or on the date of examination; b. Had close contact or living in the same house with a confirmed case of COVID-19; c. Failed to undergo the 14-day quarantine in the case of a confirmed COVID-19 or a close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19; d. Had history of travel outside the Philippines within the last 14 days. An examinee with any of these conditions should immediately request for a reschedule of examination through email to [emailprotected] . The request should indicate the symptom/s if any, date of onset of said symptom/s, and preferred date of examination. Such request for reschedule will be subject to assessment and/or approval by the SEC Medical Doctor. The examinee shall submit a medical certificate stating the completion of the mandatory 14-day quarantine with a negative result to RT-PCR (swab test), if deemed necessary. 2. Prior to entry to the SEC Main Office, the examinees are required to: a. Wear face mask and face shield , which should be worn during the entire duration of stay in the SEC Main Office b. Use the hand sanitizer and foot bath c. Accomplish the Health Questionnaire d. Submit to temperature check 3. Any examinee with a temperature of 37.5C or higher will be advised to take a rest for 5-10 minutes. Should the temperature change to below 37.5C, the examinee will be allowed entry to take the examination. Should the temperature remain more than 37.5C, the examinee will be immediately isolated and assessed by the SEC Clinic. 4. After completing the examination, the examinees are advised to promptly leave the SEC Main Office premises. II. Things to Bring on Examination Day 1. One (1) valid government-issued or company sponsor-issued ID card with applicant's photo and signature and signature of agency/company head. NO ID, NO EXAM. Examinee will be considered absent and examination payment will be forfeited if the examinee cannot present a valid ID card. List of acceptable identification (ID) cards SSS ID NBI Clearance UMID Latest Passport PRC License Latest Driver's License PWD ID Police Clearance COMELEC Voter's ID Solo Parent ID BIR/Taxpayer's ID CSC Eligibility Card PhilHealth ID Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card Postal ID Company/Office ID Barangay ID Latest School ID 2. Proof of examination payment (SEC Official Receipt or validated LandBank Deposit Slip); 3. Application Receipt (hard copy or electronic copy is acceptable); 4. One (1) blue or black ballpoint pen; and, 5. One (1) ordinary calculator (scientific/programmable calculators are not allowed). III. Pre-Examination Procedures 1. The examinees should be at the examination venue at least 15 minutes prior to the start of examination. 2. Non-appearance on the day of examination would mean forfeiture of examination payment. 3. Each examinee will present a valid ID card, proof of payment and Application Receipt to the Proctor for verification. 4. Upon verification, the Proctor will give the examinee the signed Application Receipt, Examinee Slip and scratch paper. 5. The examinee will be advised to sign the Attendance Sheet and leave his/her belongings at the baggage area. 6. The examinees are prohibited from bringing belongings beyond the baggage area, except for bottled water, medicine/liniment, tissue paper, eyeglasses, and candy. 7. The Proctor will advise the examinee to his/her assigned seat number. 8. Once all the examinees are seated, the Proctor will give the instructions on how to take the examination. IV. Attire 1. The examinees are advised to wear smart casual attire. Sleeveless shirt, shorts/short pants and slippers are not allowed. 2. The examinees are advised to bring a blazer, cardigan or jacket as some may find the examination room quite cold. V. List of Passers The List of Passers will be posted on the SEC website after 3 working days from the date of examination.
