2011 SEC NOTICE NOTICE TO CONDUCT DIRECT CONTRACTING The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), intends to procure the Annual Maintenance Support Package with Upgraded Version of the SEC e-Library System, through Direct Contracting , with Design Bytes, Inc. , the exclusive distributor of MAELISA library software program. The undertaking is part of enhancing and ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of the SEC e-Library System to enable it to deliver its complete functionality as envisioned. The total contract amount of the project is Five Hundred Twenty Eight Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Two Pesos & 40/100 (Php528,452.40) . The maintenance shall cover the following support and services: Provision for built-in search engine that will allow access/linkage to unlimited collection/connections to e-subscriptions, such as but not limited to West Law, Lex Libris, ESCRA and across all formats and to multiply the ways in which researchers can pursue inquiry using a single portal under a single sign-on; IEHDAT Integration of the digitized copy of SEC issuances and SEC News Service via the e-library website 8x5; Security and integrity of the database and ensures effective document storage and delivery systems without the risk of being corrupted even with the sudden occurrence of power failure; Guaranteed remedial and preventive maintenance of the Library security system 8x5 with prompt response time 24x5 on technical assistance on site, on-line and via telephone; and On-site training orientation on the revised version of the e-library software. TAcCDI The Direct Contracting mode of procurement shall be governed by R.A. 9184 and its IRR-A. The SEC shall in no case be held responsible or liable for any and all costs associated in the implementation of the Direct Contracting mode of procurement regardless of its result. (SGD.)
