August 6, 2014 SEC MEMORANDUM TO : All Mutual Fund Companies Investors, Stakeholders and All Other Interested Parties SUBJECT : Notice of Submission of Position Papers and Public Consultation Re: Unitized Mutual Funds The SEC is currently revisiting its existing laws, rules and regulations on mutual funds relative to a request for opinion on whether or not mutual funds can issue "units" or certificates of interest/participation in addition to their "shares of stock". To guide the Commission in this endeavor, you are hereby directed to submit the proposals and comments on "unitized mutual funds" and e-mail to [emailprotected] or fax at Tel.
