Temporary Suspension of the Conduct of All Certification Examinations

June 29, 2017 ECONOMIC RESEARCH AND TRAINING DEPARTMENT TO : All Prospective Capital Market Professionals SUBJECT : Temporary Suspension of the Conduct of All Certification Examinations NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Department has suspended the conduct of all Certification Examinations effective 13 June 2017 and will continue until further notice. This is due to the conduct of an impact assessment, currently being undertaken on the results of the new certification examination. Preliminary findings indicated that examinees were able to successfully hurdle certain modules but are having difficulties on the rest. As a result, the Department would like to extend assistance to prospective examinees through the conduct of an orientation, a walk-through session before the scheduled examination, aimed as a complementary tool to facilitate the learning process. We are currently preparing a half-day module and the prospective schedules. Rest assured that we fully understand the needs of the market participants and will be posting the resumption of the conduct of the examination and orientation, at the soonest possible time.
