FOR : Setting Aside of the Order of Revocation O R D E R Petitioner KATIPUNAN NG MGA ARTISTANG PILIPINO SA PELIKULA AT TELEBISYON INCORPORATED (formerly Katipunan ng mga Artista ng Pelikulang Pilipino Incorporated) is a non-stock corporation registered with the Commission on November 18, 1981 for the purpose of upholding the dignity of the acting profession. It has its principal office address at 27 Granada St., SPI Compound, Quezon City. On August 11, 2003, Petitioner's Certificate of Registration No. 101916 was revoked for non-compliance with the Commission's reportorial requirements, pursuant to the Order of Revocation dated July 8, 2003 which was published in a newspaper of general circulation on July 11, 2003. Petitioner now prays for the lifting of said Order of Revocation based on the following grounds: a) the former Secretariat of the Association failed to perform his task of dutifully complying with the requirements needed to be submitted to the Commission; b) petitioner is the sole and only association of Filipino actors and actresses, which has been aggressively promoting the welfare of all Filipino actors and actresses; TAacCE c) petitioner has been duly recognized by the Film and Television Management Groups as the genuine association with which they can enter into agreements concerning the welfare of Filipino actors and actresses. In support of its Petition, petitioner submitted its General Information Sheet for the year 2007 and Audited Financial Statement for the year ended 2006. Petitioner also submitted the following documents as proof of its continued operation: a) Contracts of Lease with petitioner as the lessee of a parcel of land with improvements executed on August 24, 2007 and February 11, 2002; and b) Minutes of the meetings of the board of directors held on August 8, 2007, January 6, 2007, October 21, 2006 and October 7, 2006. Petitioner further alleges that it has no intention to violate the law and henceforth, commits to comply with the rules and regulations of the Commission regarding the submission of reports. It has also actually paid in full the penalty in the total amount of Fifty-Four Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Pesos (P54,250.00) as assessed by the Law and Regulation Division of the Company Registration and Monitoring Department and evidenced by Official Receipt Number 0116931 dated November 22, 2007. WHEREFORE, premises considered, the Order of the Commission dated July 8, 2003 revoking the Certificate of Registration of Katipunan ng mga Artistang Pilipino sa Pelikula at Telebisyon Incorporated is hereby SET ASIDE. Let a copy of this Order be furnished the Company Registration and Monitoring Department (CRMD), Law and Regulation Division, and the Economic Research and Information Department (ERID) of this Commission for their appropriate action.
