RE: SETTING ASIDE ORDER OF REVOCATION OF CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION O R D E R Petitioner, PRESIDENT MANUEL A. ROXAS FOUNDATION, INC. (formerly Friends of Roxas, Incorporated), is a non-stock corporation registered with the Commission on June 20, 1960 under SEC Registration No. 0000017076, with office address at 11th Floor Aurora Tower, Araneta Center, Quezon City. HScDIC On May 26, 2003, its Certificate of Registration was revoked by virtue of SEC Order dated April 22, 2003, published on April 25, 2003 in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, for non-filing of reports. Petitioner now prays for the setting aside of the Order of Revocation dated April 22, 2003, on the following grounds: 1. that Petitioner is active and has programs and activities such as exhibits, research and historical reference services including biographical documentary, in coordination with the Department of Education and other agencies, to further its mission and objectives; and CAIaHS 2. that the officers formerly charged with the filing of the reportorial requirements have retired or are no longer active in the Foundation. In support of its Petition, Petitioner submitted the following documents: 1 1. Photocopy of 2008 Business Permit, Office of the Mayor, Quezon City; 2. Photocopy of Certification dated September 18, 2008, on the implementation of human and socio-economic development programs in Quezon City signed by the City Mayor, Quezon City; 3. Photocopy of Certification dated September 17, 2008, certifying that Petitioner has its office address within the territorial jurisdiction of the Barangay, signed by the Punong Barangay, Barangay Socorro, Quezon City; 4. Trustees' Certificate dated September 17, 2008, certifying that at the meeting of trustees held on September 02, 2008 at 11th Floor, Aurora Tower, Araneta Center, Quezon City, at which quorum was present, the resolution allowing the filing of Petition to Set Aside Order of Revocation was unanimously approved; 5. Copy and photographs of programs and activities of the Petitioner from 1998 to 2008; 6. Copy of video documentary produced by Petitioner, featuring the life of President Manuel Roxas; IEDHAT 7. Copy of pamphlet about the mission and vision of Petitioner; and 8. Copies of architectural plans on the Petitioner's proposed Roxas Center Building; Petitioner submitted its 2008 General Information Sheet and 2007 Financial Statements to prove its intention to continue its registration with the Commission. It also manifested that it has no intention to violate the law and it commits to immediately pay the fines as due. On October 06, 2008, Petitioner paid the fine of PhP84,000.00 under O.R. No. 0215544, for non/late filing/registration of the following, on the years indicated hereunder: NOT FILED FILED LATE General Information Sheet 1996-2007 2008 Financial Statements 1996-2006 2007 Membership Book Registered late WHEREFORE, finding the Petition meritorious, the Order of the Commission dated April 22, 2003, revoking the Certificate of Registration of PRESIDENT MANUEL A.
