June 23, 2022 ENFORCEMENT AND INVESTOR PROTECTION DEPARTMENT SEC ADVISORY This ADVISORY is prompted by inquiries, reports and information received by the Commission that individuals and/or groups of persons claiming to represent an entity named J SHOES FOOTWEAR/J SHOES FOOTWEAR TRADING , are enticing the public to invest their money in the said entity with promise of high monetary rewards or profits equivalent to a guaranteed 8% monthly interest. The public is hereby informed that based on an initial verification from the Commission's database, J SHOES FOOTWEAR/J SHOES FOOTWEAR TRADING is NOT registered with the Commission either as a corporation or partnership and is NOT AUTHORIZED TO SOLICIT INVESTMENTS from the public, not having secured prior registration and/or license to sell securities or solicit investments as prescribed under Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code (SRC). In view thereof, the public is hereby advised to exercise caution in dealing with any individual or group of persons soliciting investments for and on behalf of J SHOES FOOTWEAR/J SHOES FOOTWEAR TRADING . The public is further advised NOT TO INVEST or to STOP INVESTING in the investment scheme being offered by any individuals claiming to represent said entity. The Commission further warns that those who claim to act as salesmen, brokers, dealers or agents of J SHOES FOOTWEAR/J SHOES FOOTWEAR TRADING in offering and/or selling or convincing people to invest in the investment scheme allegedly of the said entity, through the internet or any other means, may be held criminally liable under Section 28 of the SRC and penalized with a maximum fine of Five Million Pesos (Php5,000,000.00) or imprisonment of Twenty-One (21) years or both pursuant to Section 73 of the SRC (SEC vs. Oudine Santos, G.R. No. 195542, 19 March 2014) .
