August 13, 2002 SEC ADVISORY MATEO MANAGEMENT GROUP (MMG) The Commission wishes to advise the public that the Mateo Management Group (MMG) and the Mateo Pre-Need Plans are NOT licensed to engage in the business of selling Pre-Need plans. caIETS This advisory is being given in response to numerous inquiries made by the public and to address the misleading advertisements appearing in the MMG Digest, Volume 2, No. 1, Oct.-Dec. 2001, page 16 labeled "MATEO PRE-NEED PLANS (Pension & Education Plans)".
