May 2, 2007 SAN JUAN MUNICIPALITY ORDINANCE NO. 014-07 AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE PENALTIES INCURRED FROM THE REAL ESTATE TAXES OF MR. BARTOLOME L. ANGELES' PROPERTY LOCATED AT 21 BUCHANAN ST. CORNER ROOSEVELT ST., NORTH GREENHILLS, SAN JUAN METRO MANILA Sponsored by: Councilor Domingo M. Sese Co-sponsored by: Councilors Clemente P. Bargas, Tomas C. Carvajal, Angelino O. Domingo and Anthony Joseph D. dela Cruz WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bartolome L. Angeles mortgage the property at 21 Buchanan St., cor. Roosevelt St., North Greenhills, San Juan Metro Manila to secure a loan from the Luzon Development Bank (LDB); TECIaH WHEREAS, the late 1980's a case has been pending with the courts arising from the transfer of the title of the abovementioned property to Luzon Development Bank; WHEREAS, the Supreme Court in its final ruling last month declared the transfer to be VOID and required the LDB to revert the title back of their name; WHEREAS, while the property has been in the name of the bank since 1988, taxes has been paid by the said bank until 1992; WHEREAS, from 1993 up to the present, taxes due inclusive of penalties amounted to P432,091.34 for the lot and P161,966.72 for the improvement totaling to P594,058.06; ECaScD WHEREAS, the approximate amount of penalties to be waived is P82,971.49 pesos per Treasury's statement of account; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG BAYAN IN A SESSION DULY ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. Penalties incurred from the real taxes of Mr. Bartolome L. Angeles' property located at 21 Buchanan st., cor Roosevelt st., North Greenhills, San Juan Metro Manila, in the amount of P82,971.49 pesos be waived. SECTION 2. Mr. Angeles be allowed to pay his outstanding balance in periodic installments in coordination with the Treasury Office. SECTION 3.
