April 16, 2007 SAN JUAN MUNICIPALITY ORDINANCE NO. 012-07 AN ORDINANCE WAIVING SURCHARGE AND PENALTIES INCURRED BY THE CARDINAL SANTOS MEDICAL CENTER FOR THE YEAR 2006 DUE TO LATE PAYMENT OF ASSESSED TAXES Sponsored by: Committee on Health & Environmental Protection (Councilors Tomas C. Carvajal, Domingo M. Sese and Roberto C. Yan, Jr.) EXPLANATORY NOTE Cardinal Santos Medical Center has a long standing record of efficiency that provides first class medical services to the general public and the most reliable in Metro Manila. They have been an active partner of the local government in sustaining the medical services of its constituents. In their desire to accommodate more patients and medical services, they undertook a renovation resulting to a shortage of funds the past few months hence their late payment of the assessed business tax and fees. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG BAYAN IN A SESSION DULY ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. Surcharges and Penalties incurred for the late payment of assessed business taxes and fees be waived. SECTION 2. A discount or charity admission scheme shall be adopted for the benefit of San Juan residents. SECTION 3. The discount and charity admission scheme shall be coordinated with the social services department of the Municipality. SECTION 4.
