September 26, 2016 SAN JUAN CITY ORDINANCE NO. 046-16 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE B (CHARGES OF PARKING), CHAPTER V (CITY CHARGES AND OTHER FEES) OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN REVENUE CODE OF 2013 Sponsored by: The Committee on Ways & Means Councilors Richard F. Hicap WHEREAS , there is now a need to improve the flow of traffic for the general welfare of the people of San Juan; WHEREAS , San Juan is in the heart of Metro Manila where motor vehicles use the city as a passing thru from one city to another; WHEREAS , the mode of parking in the different pay parking areas in Barangay Greenhills has been changed to "PARALLEL" parking due to the public clamor of easing the flow of traffic; WHEREAS , all parking rates in Metro Manila have already increased and the last increase in our city was in 2013. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, AS IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN, METRO MANILA IN A SESSION DULY ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. Section 5B.01 (Imposition of Fees) of Article B, Chapter V of the City of San Juan Revenue Code of 2013, is hereby amended, and shall now read as follows: "Section 5B.01. Imposition of Fee. There shall be collected for the use of any city-owned and controlled parking area, the following parking fees per vehicle, for every three (3) hours or fraction thereof. a) Motorcyles (Flat Rate) P50.00/vehicle for every three (3) hours or fraction thereof b) Cars/AUV/SUV/Jeepneys P50.00/vehicle for every three (3) hours of fraction thereof c) Cargo Trucks (6-Wheeler)/Delivery Vans P150.00/vehicle for every three (3) hours of fraction thereof CAIHTE d) Passengers Buses/Cargo Trucks (10-Wheeler Truck) P150.00/vehicle for every three (3) hours of fraction thereof and an additional amount of Ten Pesos (P10.00) per hour or fraction thereof in excess of three (3) hours." SECTION 2. Section 5B.02 Overnight Parking Fee. There shall be collected for use of any city-owned and controlled parking facilities, the following parking fees for overnight parking. Overnight parking shall be limited to the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following day, is hereby amended as follows: a) Motorcycles (Flat Rate) P50.00/vehicle from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following day b) Cars/AUV/SUV/Jeepneys P100.00/vehicle from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following day c) Cargo Trucks (6-Wheeler)/Delivery vans P200.00/vehicle from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following day d) Passengers Buses/Cargo Trucks (10-Wheeler Truck) P200.00/vehicle from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following day The abovementioned fees shall be paid in advance at the City Treasurer's Office for the appropriate corresponding period covered. SECTION 3. The issuance and approval hereof is subject to compliance by the City Government on existing laws and COA rules and regulations on expenditures, appropriations and procurement. SECTION 4. Repealing Clause. Any Ordinance or parts of provisions hereof which are inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance are hereby repealed or modified accordingly. SECTION 5.
