Granting the Request of Music Museum Group, Inc. for the Extension of Agreement on Fixed Amusement Tax

May 19, 2008 SAN JUAN CITY ORDINANCE NO. 028-08 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE REQUEST OF MUSIC MUSEUM GROUP INCORPORATED FOR THE EXTENSION OF EXISTING AGREEMENT OF FIXED AMUSEMENT TAX UP TO APRIL 15, 2010 Sponsored by: The Committee on Ways and Means (Councilors Ferdinand A. Torralba WHEREAS, the City Council of San Juan, Metro Manila has granted fixed amusement tax rate of P600,000.00 monthly for five (5) cinemas of the Music Museum Group, Inc. that will terminate on April 16, 2008; WHEREAS, the cinemas in Music Museum Group Incorporated are the major factor of bringing in the necessary crowd in the Greenhills Commercial Center to patronize the business sector thus, providing healthy business activities thereat; WHEREAS, the fixed amusement tax between the city and the Music Museum Group, Incorporated assure the fixed income without the necessity of monitoring the gate receipts of the cinemas; WHEREAS, the Music Museum Group, Incorporated shall remain in giving social and recreational benefits to the Senior Citizens Fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Juan, Metro Manila in a session duly assembled, that: SECTION 1. The Music Museum Group Incorporated is granted an extension of two (2) years under the agreement of fixed amusement tax rate of P600,000.00 monthly for five (5) cinemas up to April 15, 2010. CAIHaE SECTION 2. The Music Museum Group Incorporated shall remain as a city partner, giving social and recreational benefit for the Senior Citizens of San Juan. SECTION 3. The Business Permits & License Office, the Treasury Department and other local agencies concerned are hereby informed. SECTION 4.
