February 16, 2009 SAN JUAN CITY ORDINANCE NO. 004-09 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4B.01, ARTICLE B, CHAPTER IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 47, SERIES OF 2003 (SAN JUAN MUNICIPAL REVENUE CODE OF 2002), PRESCRIBING NEW LOCAL REGISTRY FEES Sponsored by: The Committee on Appropriations (Councilors Vincent M. Bernardo) WHEREAS, Sections 458 (a) (3) (1) of the Local Government Code provides that the Sangguniang Panlungsod shall fix and impose reasonable fees and charges for all services rendered by the city government to private persons or entities; aDACcH WHEREAS, the existing fees and charges are still municipal fees and now San Juan being a city, must upgrade the existing fees and charges for the purposes of generating more funds for its development plans, program objectives and priorities; WHEREAS, the existing fixed fees and charges implemented for the past seven (7) years considering the change of economic condition, it is but proper and appropriate to increase fees and charges at rates we find reasonable; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Juan, Metro Manila in a session duly assembled, that: SECTION 1. Section 4B.01, Article B, Chapter IV of Ordinance No. 47, Series of 2003 (San Juan Municipal Revenue Code of 2002) shall now read as follows: IMPOSITION OF FEES IN THE LOCAL CITY REGISTRY: 1. COUNTERPART FEES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT: 5.1 In the issuance of authenticated copy of Civil Registry records by the NSO, District Office in the city per certificate Php60.00 SECTION 2. The City Civil Registry Office is hereby required to post the revised fees and charges as prescribed in Section 1 including the procedure and requirements needed in procuring the official document/s. CTHDcS SECTION 3. The Offices of the City Treasurer and the City Civil Registrar hereby instructed to apply the new local civil registry fees as provided in Section 1. SECTION 4. This Ordinance repeals, supersedes any or all impositions inconsistent with the adjustment provided in Section 1. SECTION 5.
