August 3, 1959 REVENUE REGULATIONS NO. V-64 SUBJECT : Amendment to Section 6 of Revenue Regulations No. V-50 Otherwise Known as the Virginia Leaf Tobacco Regulations, Prescribing the Manner of Tagging the Bales Before Shipments TO : All Internal Revenue Officers and Others Concerned Pursuant to the provisions of Section 338, in relation to Section 4 (b) of Commonwealth Act No. 466, otherwise known as the National Internal Revenue Code, the following regulations amending Section 6 of Revenue Regulations No. V-50 are hereby promulgated and shall be known as Revenue Regulations No. V-64. SECTION 1. Section 6 of Revenue Regulations No. V-50 is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 6. Tagging of Bales. Before removal of bales of graded Virginia leaf tobacco from any establishment or warehouse of a wholesale leaf tobacco dealer or cigarette manufacturer, the packer or shipper shall attach a tag serially numbered, made of cloth known commercially as "Coco", of not less than 9 inches long and 3.5 inches wide, to the bale by tying the upper portion of the tag with a wire and sealed with lead. For uniformity, the tags and lead seals will be supplied at cost to the packer or shipper by the Bureau of Internal Revenue. On the lower half portion of the face of the tag, there shall be stamped, by means of rubber stamp and stamping ink, the following: REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES BUREAU OF INTERNAL REVENUE TOBACCO INSPECTION TAGS Inspected: __________ Bales Crop: ________________ _____________________ _____________________ (Packer's Grade) (Weight in Kilos) _____________________ _____________________ (Facoma or Dealer) (Mun. and Province) Date Inspected: _________ Official Grade: _________ __________________ (Tobacco inspector) SECTION 2.
