October 19, 1970 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 55-70 SUBJECT : Amending Certain Portions in the Tax Numeric Codes of Revenue Taxes Handbook TO : All Internal Revenue Officers and others concerned This Order is issued to amend certain portions in the Tax Numeric Codes of Revenue Taxes prescribed under RMO No. 50-68, dated November 4, 1968, which was brought about by the implementation of the Omnibus Tax Bill, which took effect September 1, 1969. Attached herewith are the lists of the additional code numbers and the changes in some of the rates. Take note that the columns in the listings follow the same format as found in the Numeric Codes handbook in your possession. You are hereby instructed to insert these lists in the corresponding pages (shown in the upper left hand portion preceding each group of numbers) where the changes were made, for proper guidance. The rest of the pages not mentioned in these lists is an indication that the same rates are still enforceable. asia cd For purposes of clarity, ready reference, and for emphasis, your attention is invited to the following new code numbers in particular: 06-0100 This number is for franchise tax payments by franchise holders engaged in ELECTRICAL SERVICES ONLY. The proceeds on these payments, formerly shared by the National Government, is now accruing to the revolving fund of the National Electrification Administration. 06-0000 For all other franchise tax payments. NOTE: The total for both cases (06-0000 & 06-0100) will be reflected in the line on franchise taxes in the Summary portion. 08-0900 For Forest Products Research and Industries Development Funds. This is a special fund authorized under RA-5526, Sec. 21, dated June 21, 1969. 10-0306 This number is for collections on SCIENCE STAMPS alone. This Order takes effect immediately. MISAEL P.
