Designation of Mr. Benjamin P. Anonas as Acting Revenue Seizure Agent in Revenue District No. 21 (Cabanatuan City)

August 7, 1967 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 53-67 The exigencies of the revenue service so requiring, and pursuant to Section 12 of the National Internal Revenue Code and Section 550 of the Revised Administrative Code, Mr. BENJAMIN P. ANONAS is hereby relieved of his present duties as Revenue Collector in Cabanatuan City and ordered to report to the Office of the Revenue District Officer, Revenue District No. 21, Cabanatuan City as Acting Revenue Seizure Agent thereat, for a period not exceeding six months from approval hereof. Before leaving for his new assignment, Mr. Anonas must comply with the requirements of Field Circular No. V-25 regarding inventory of pending papers, correspondence and property responsibilities in his possession. ROMUALDEZ Secretary of Finance August 2, 1967 The Commissioner Bureau of Internal Revenue M a n i l a Thru Channels S i r : In the wake of the intensive tax campaign for the collection of delinquent accounts, thereby necessitating the serving of numerous Warrants of Distraint and Levy, notwithstanding the role of the Bureau of Internal Revenue to attain its goal for an increase in tax collections, it is very essential that ways and means be sought to realize the aims of our Bureau. This warrants the appointment of a Seizure Agent in our District to handle the serving of Warrants of Distraint and Levy, to help our Collection Agents in the collection of delinquent accounts and to follow up demands to forestall the prescription of said accounts. In this connection, it is hereby informed that Mr. BENJAMIN P. ANONAS, Revenue Collector I, temporarily assigned at this Office, has been handling the serving of Warrants of Distraint and Levy with the Collection Agents concerned, at the same time handling all correspondence relating to the collection of delinquent accounts, in short, he is performing the duties prescribed for a Seizure Agent. In view of the foregoing, it is hereby reiterated that the recommendation for the appointment of Mr. BENJAMIN P. ANONAS from Revenue Collector I to Seizure Agent I, dated July 12, 1967, which was not considered due to the reason that there is no item for a Seizure Agent in this District or within Region No. 5, be favorably approved, even in an Acting capacity only, due to the reasons stated above.
