August 15, 1966 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 49-66 TO : All Internal Revenue Officers and Others Concerned Quoted hereunder is Department Order No. 48-66 dated June 22, 1966, which amends Department Order No. 27-66 dated April 4, 1966, both of the Department of Finance, as follows: "DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 48-66 "AMENDING DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 27-66 DATED APRIL 4, 1966, WHICH IMPLEMENTS EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 10 DATED FEBRUARY 24, 1966 ENTITLED 'CENTRALIZING THE CUSTODY AND DISPOSITION OF GOODS AND PAYMENT OF REWARDS TO INFORMERS' AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. aisadc "Pursuant to Section 79(B) of the Revised Administrative Code, and in implementation of Executive Order No. 10 dated February 24, 1966, of the President of the Philippines, Department Order No. 27-66 dated April 4, 1966, is hereby amended as follows: "1. The name of the agency known as 'Claims Adjudication and Disposal Administration', or CADA for short, is hereby changed to 'Custody and Disposal Administration' or CADA for short. "2. The penultimate paragraph of Department Order No. 27-66 which reads as follows: 'The CADA shall also immediately organize an Awards Committee who shall receive, screen, evaluate, and pass upon the merits of all claims for rewards for violation of internal revenue and customs laws and regulations, as provided in R.A. 2338. The Administrator shall consult with the Anti-Smuggling Action Center, as provided in Executive Order No. 11 dated February 24, 1966. He shall formulate rules and regulations on the screening, evaluation and approval of bona fide and meritorious claims for reward filed under R.A. 2338. As far as practicable, all such claims shall be expeditiously acted upon and disposed of as an incentive to informers under the law,' is hereby deleted and rendered without force and effect.
