July 28, 1997 August 1, 1997 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 47-97 SUBJECT : Creation of Ad Hoc Information System Units (ISU) at Quezon City in Consonance with Revenue Memorandum Order (RMO) No. 16-96 TO : All Internal Revenue Officers and Others Concerned I. BACKGROUND Ad hoc Information System Units (ISU) were created in the initial implementation of the Tax Computerization Program (TCP) in the Manila and Cebu City pilot areas under RMO No. 16-96. These ad hoc units are undertaking the data processing requirements of the five pilot districts (RDO No. 30 Binondo, RDO 32 Quiapo, RDO No. 33 Ermita, RDO No. 52 Paraaque and RDO No. 81 Cebu North) thus enabling them to concentrate on their tax enforcement and taxpayer service functions. The ad hoc units are envisioned to be the nuclei of the Regional Data Centers. II. CREATION OF AN AD HOC INFORMATION SYSTEM UNIT AT QUEZON CITY In line with the continuing implementation of the Tax Computerization Program of the Bureau, an ad hoc ISU is created at Quezon City to service the data processing requirements of Revenue District Office No. 39 South Quezon City. The ad hoc Information System Unit shall be under the management of the Deputy Commissioner for the Information Systems Group. Each ISU shall be under the direct supervision of a Unit Head. The ISU set-up and the functions of its teams or sections shall be the same as under RMO 16-96. III. REPEALING CLAUSE All issuances or portions of RMO No. 16-96 and any revenue issuance not consistent with the provisions of this Order are hereby repealed or revoked. IV.
