September 1, 1988 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 39-88 Subject : RDOs to recommend suspension of business operations In order to maximize voluntary compliance with the VAT law and regulations, each revenue district officer shall develop and recommend suspension of the business operations and the closure of the business establishment of at least one VAT taxpayer per month for violation of Sec. 111 of the Tax Code, as amended by EO 273. The performance of each RDO shall be evaluated monthly beginning September 30, 1988. Reports of and recommendations for temporary suspension or closure of a business establishment shall be made strictly in accordance with the requirements of Revenue Memorandum Order No. 18-88. Any revenue district officer who fails to meet this requirement until October 31, 1988 will be relieved of his present assignment. (SGD.) BIENVENIDO A. TAN, JR. Commissioner
