July 10, 1968 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 35-68 SUBJECT : Transfer of the Function of Preparing Treasury Warrants for Sundry Vouchers from Data Processing Center to Accounting Division Studies have shown that one of the reasons for the delay in the preparation of reports and listings by the Data Processing Center is the existence of minor job applications which hamper the efficiency of the main stream of functions of the said office. One of these applications is the preparation of treasury warrants for sundry expenses by the Data Processing Center. Vouchers already processed by the General Services Division and the Accounting Division are being sent to the Data Processing Center for the preparation of treasury warrants. The many tasks that go into the simple preparation of treasury warrants requires much time and effort and uses up valuable computer machine time. The process therefore is not only costly but wasteful. In view thereof, the Data Processing Center is hereby relieved of the preparation of treasury warrants for sundry expenses. The said function shall be performed by the Accounting Division immediately after approval of the corresponding vouchers by the Revenue Operations Head (Administrative Services). The Accounting Division shall likewise be responsible for the preparation of Check Registers and Monthly Report for Treasury Warrants Issued which is inherent with the function of preparing treasury warrants. aisadc This Order takes effect immediately. MISAEL P. VERA Commissioner of Internal Revenue
