August 1, 1990 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 34-90 SUBJECT : Campaign for the "Taxes and Nation Building" Slogan/Poster Contest TO : All Revenue District Officers, Chiefs of the Administrative Branches, and Other Internal Revenue Officers Concerned The Bureau of Internal Revenue and Management Association of the Philippines have launched a nationwide slogan/poster contest for elementary and high school students dwelling on the theme "Taxes and Nation Building." The contest mechanics are contained in RMC No. 73-90. cdt In order to generate the maximum participation from the schools, all Revenue District Officers (RDO) are instructed to conduct (a) an information/publicity campaign on this contest and (b) an education drive on the theme "Taxes and Nation Building" for all elementary and high schools located in their particular geographical area of jurisdiction. The initial campaign shall be conducted for the whole month of August and a report on the activities conducted shall be prepared and transmitted to the Chief, Planning and Research Division not later than September 7, 1990. Any additional activities conducted during September shall be authorized and shall be reported not later than October 7, 1990. aisa dc During September, the RDO's shall then follow up with the principals/heads of the various schools as to the participation of their students. The winning entries from these schools shall be accepted by the RDOs on or before October 1, 1990. Thereafter, the RDOs shall forward all entries to the Chief, Administrative Branch not later than October 5, 1990. The Chief, Administrative Branch shall accept the said entries from the RDO's and forward the same to the Chief, Planning and Research Division not later than October 12, 1990. cdt The Chief, Planning and Research Division shall act as the secretariat for this contest, and, together with the Committee created under RSO 64-90, provide the necessary support to the Board of Judges for this contest.
