September 10, 1973 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 34-73 SUBJECT : Prescribing the wearing of uniform by all lady employees of the Bureau of Internal Revenue TO : All lady employees and others concerned In compliance with the provisions of Memorandum Circular No. 658 of the Office of the President dated August 23, 1973 and Department Memorandum Circular No. 26-73 dated August 28, 1973, and in order to project a good image for the Bureau of Internal Revenue through the use of uniforms which will enhance the outlook of its employees particularly taking pride in being in the government service in general and in the Bureau of Internal Revenue in particular, and manifest the qualities of distinctiveness, discipline and efficiency, the following sets of uniforms are hereby prescribed for the use of all lady employees of the Bureau of Internal Revenue: I. NATURE OF MATERIALS All wearing apparel and other parts of the uniform must be locally manufactured. II. COVERAGE OF UNIFORM All lady employees of the Bureau, permanent or temporary, including casual must wear the uniform prescribed. III. NATURE OF UNIFORM A. FOOTWEAR Only shoes will be allowed excluding rubber shoes. The use of slippers is prohibited. B. WEARING APPAREL 1) Female executives They shall include Revenue Operations Heads, Assistant Revenue Operations Heads, Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of Divisions, Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of Branches, Revenue District Officers and Assistant Revenue District Officers. a. Uniform (1) Golden Bronze smock (same length as dress), Cifrele, or similar material (2) Shift printed material to be selected (3) Sleeves long b. Length knee length or one inch above the knee c. Style as in sketch 2. All women executives are required to wear stockings. 3. Lady employees including fieldwoman a. Uniform three pieces jacket, blouse, skirt b. Material Cifrele or similar material c. Color Golden Bronze and sandy white d. Length knee length or one inch above the knee e. Sleeves tailored sleeves for jacket and sleeveless for blouse f. Style as in sketch In determining the uniform to be used, the actual work performance shall be the one to be considered. Strict compliance with the requirements of this Order by all officials and employees of the bureau is hereby enjoined. All supervisors from Revenue Operations Heads and Regional Directors down to Revenue District Officers are hereby held responsible for the proper observance by their respective subordinates of the provisions of this Revenue Memorandum Order.
