December 17, 1979 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 30-79 SUBJECT : Filing of Income Tax Returns for Revenue Officials and Employees for the Calendar Year 1979 TO : Service Chiefs, Asst. Service Chiefs, Regional Directors, Asst. Regional Directors, Division Chiefs, Asst. Division Chiefs, All Revenue Examiners Holding Items of Examiner I and Up and All Other Employees For the purpose of setting a good example to others and for setting a proper perspective on the 1980 Tax Compliance Program, the following procedures are hereby promulgated in connection with the filing of income tax returns for taxable year 1979: 1. Service Chiefs, Asst. Service Chiefs, Division Chiefs, and Asst. Division Chiefs should file their income tax returns on or before January 25, 1980. A copy of their income tax returns should be submitted to the Revenue Service Chief (Administrative) who shall prepare a consolidated list of these returns. 2. All revenue personnel holding the items of Examiner I and up, and those assigned to field work, such as Revenue Inspectors and others, should file their income tax returns on or before January 25, 1980. A copy of their income tax returns filed should be submitted to their respective Revenue Director or Division Chiefs as the case may be, who shall prepare a consolidated list of the returns. The Director or the Division Chief concerned should submit the list to the Revenue Service Chief (Administrative) not later than February 5, 1980. 3. All other employees not enumerated above must file their income tax returns on or before February 29, 1980 with their respective Division Chiefs or Heads of Units. The same list should be submitted to the Revenue Service Chief (Administrative) not later than March 7, 1980. Strict compliance is hereby enjoined. cd RUBEN B.
