Length of Service Pins

July 6, 1965 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 28-65 For the information of all employees of this Bureau, Memorandum Circular No. 25, dated May 21, 1964 of the Commissioner of Civil Service, bearing on the subject matter of "LENGTH OF SERVICE AWARD" is hereunder quoted: cdt "MC 25, s. 1964 "TO : All Heads of Departments, Bureaus, Offices, and Agencies of the National and Local Governments, Including Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations "SUBJECT : Length of Service Pins "Section 10 of Memorandum Circular No. 14 of this Office, dated May 15, 1963, entitled "Regulations Implementing the Employee Suggestions and Incentive Award System in the Philippine Civil Service" provides as follows: " Length of Service Award A length of service award shall be granted to each employee after the completion of 20 years of continuous and satisfactory government service (of which at least five years shall be with the office where the employee is presently employed) and at 10 years interval thereafter. Anyone with 20 or more years of service who joins a new office shall be required to have at least five years of service in the Office he is connected with before he becomes eligible for this award. (Roman text supplied) This service award shall consist of a lapel emblem or pin. Service pins shall be of identical design except for a different numeral and metal for different periods of service as follows: 20 years bronze service pin 30 years silver service pin 40 years gold service pin "Pursuant to the above provisions, this Office hereby prescribes the use of uniform lapel pins, shown in the attached sheet, designed by the Philippines Heraldry Committee of the Office of the President. "In this connection, it is requested that all offices and agencies submit to this Office at least thirty (30) days before the end of each fiscal year, starting with the fiscal year 1963-1964, a list of all employees who are candidates for the length of service awards under the three categories for the ensuing year. This is necessary in order to estimate the number and cost of service pins that will be ordered each year. "It is understood, however, that the cost of the service pins will be borne by the offices and agencies concerned.
