August 28, 1996 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 25-96 SUBJECT : Creation of a Committee on Disposal of Valueless Records in the National and Regional Offices TO : All Internal Revenue Administrative Officers, Employees and Others Concerned In order to have a progressive and systematic disposal of all obsolete, damaged, old and valueless records in the custody of the Records Division and Administrative Division of the Regional Office of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, there is hereby created a Committee on the Disposal of Valueless Records composed of: 1. National Office Disposal Committee Chairman Chief, Records Division or his duly authorized representative Members Chief, Management Division or his duly authorized representative Representative of Requesting Division 2. Regional Office Disposal Committee Chairman Chief, Administrative Division Members Chief, Administrative Unit of RDO concerned Representative of Requesting Division It shall be the function of the Committee to conduct the bidding of all obsolete and valueless records for disposal, referred to by the Chief, Records Division in the National Office and/or Chief, Administrative Division in the Regional Office. Authority to dispose shall be in accordance with Department Order No. 13-A dated February 3, 1988 of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) and Records Management Circular No. 1-88 dated September 29, 1988.
