Revenue Memorandum Order No. 25-05

October 12, 2005 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 25-05 In order to ensure that only official and accurate data and information regarding the operations and performance of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) are disseminated, instruction is hereby given to all BIR officers and personnel that henceforth, only the Commissioner or his representative/s who are duly authorized in writing by the Commissioner himself, shall have the authority to officially communicate and disseminate needed data and information, especially collection figures, to appropriate officers and agencies of the government and other third parties, including the press. In the event that the exigencies of BIR officers' duties necessitate that appropriate actions be taken by them which would entail the release of BIR data and information, a prior clearance in writing must be obtained from the Office of the Commissioner for the purpose; otherwise, the data and information released without the requisite pre-clearance and authority from the Office of the Commissioner shall not be considered as officially released by the BIR.
