July 28, 1981 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 24-81 SUBJECT : Amendment of Code Symbols of Major Units of Organization in the National Office and Regional Offices TO : All Revenue Service Chiefs, Regional Directors, Division Chiefs, Branch Chiefs and Others Concerned In connection with the implementation of the Reorganization set-up of the Bureau of Internal Revenue pursuant to the provisions of Executive Order No. 608, dated August 1, 1980, the code symbols prescribed under Revenue Memorandum Order No. 38-75 dated July 9, 1975 is hereby amended as follows: I. Any paper sent for action shall not be processed or filed without the organization code symbol; it shall be returned to the office of origin for the affixture of the code symbol.
