May 11, 1976 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 24-76 SUBJECT : Issuance of Cigarette Strip Stamps of the P5.00 per M, Class 30's, Denomination P0.15, Surcharged to and in lieu of Strip Stamps of the P50.00 per M, Class 20's, Denomination P1.00 TO : The Chiefs, Accountable Forms and Manufactured Tobacco Tax Divisions, All Internal Revenue Officers and Others Concerned In the implementation of PD 753 amending Section 137(b) of the National Internal Revenue Code, which took effect on July 27, 1975, increasing the Specific Tax Rates on cigarettes, and in view of the non-availability of cigarette strip stamps of the P50.00 per M, class 20's, denomination P1.00 in the Accountable Forms Division, strip stamps of the P5.00 per M, class 30's, with denomination P0.15 will be surcharged to P50.00 per M, class 20's with denomination P1.00 and to be issued in lieu of the former strip stamps. The quantity to be surcharged shall not exceed 2,000,000 pieces. The surcharging shall be done with the use of the mimeographing machine in the Accountable Forms Division under the supervision of the Ad Hoc Committee created under Revenue Memorandum Order No. 3-74, dated January 7, 1974 and subject to the condition provided in the said Memorandum Order. cdt EFREN I.
