April 29, 1975 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 24-75 SUBJECT : Creation of an ad hoc Committee that shall Assist the Bureau of Internal Revenue in Planning and Implementing its Tax Information-Education Program TO : All Internal Revenue Officers and Others Concerned Pursuant to the resolution adopted during the special symposium on the role of Mass Media in developing the public's tax consciousness, and to implement the policy of this Office that a well-coordinated information and education program involving representatives from other government agencies be undertaken on a nation-wide basis, there is hereby created an ad hoc committee that shall assist the Bureau in planning and implementing its tax information-education program. The ad hoc committee shall be composed of the following: Name Office or Agency FILOMENO O. APOLINARIO, JR. Chief, Tax Information Chairman Division, BIR MANUEL F. JO VILLARBA National Student Member Volunteers Association BEN JAVIER Department of Member Foreign Affairs VICTOR M. TUAZON Bureau of National Member and Foreign Infor- mation, Department of Public Information ROMEO HERRERA Private Mass Media Member JOHNNY ROUX Executive Secretary, Member Rural Information Council, National Media Production Center BENJAMIN AFUANG Office of the Secretary Member Department of Public Information MARINA C. MAMANGUN Tax Information Secretary Division BIR The ad hoc committee shall prepare programs, plans and other activities for effective tax information dissemination and tax education of taxpayers on a nation-wide scale, particularly in the rural areas. The committee shall meet at least once a month at the call of the chairman or at least five of its members. aisa dc Since this committee is created on a permanent basis, it is expected to submit to this Office its on-going plans and projects for final approval, at least once a month.
