May 27, 1977 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 22-77 In order to conserve electric current due to the acute energy crises, it is desired that utmost economy in the use of electric current be strictly observed. For this reason, the following instructions are issued for immediate compliance by all concerned: 1. All electric lights with the exception of rooms without windows or natural illumination, shall be turned-off during noon break when the employees are out for lunch; 2. Electric lights shall be turned-off in offices which have no need for light during certain hours of the day; 3. During night time, only few lights in the corridors shall be turned on and when daylight comes, the security guards on duty shall see to it that all lights in the corridors are turned-off, except in places where the natural illumination are inadequate; 4. After the close of business hours, all electric lights and air-conditioning units shall be turned-off. cdta It is therefore, directed that all Revenue Service Chiefs, Regional Directors, Chiefs of Division and Revenue District Officers see to it that the above instructions are religiously observed.
