Guidelines on the Observance of Office Hours Pursuant to E.O. No. 124, s. 1968

April 17, 1968 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 21-68 1. Pursuant to Executive Order No. 124 dated April 1, 1968 of the President of the Philippines, the office hours to be observed by the officers and employees as well as emergency employees of this Bureau in the national, regional and district revenue offices during the period from May 1-31, 1968, shall be from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. However, all internal revenue officers and employees assigned in the City of Baguio shall continue to observe the regular office hours. All fieldmen doing assessment and collection work, fieldmen of the Specific Tax Department, Cash Clerks and Collection Agents and those assigned in factories, drivers and all janitors shall work full day from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. every working day during the abovementioned period. 2. It shall be the duty of the chiefs of departments, divisions or units in the national office, regional directors and district revenue officers to see to it that the work pertaining to their respective offices is kept up to date. Wherefore, they are authorized to require the employees under them to observe the regular office hours or to work overtime whenever the necessity arises. 3. In each department, division or unit in the national office and in each regional or revenue district office, there shall be left one-half of the force in the afternoon to attend to taxpayers who may transact business. This skeletal force shall observe office hours during this period from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The names of those who will be in the skeletal force at certain dates should be submitted to the Chief, Personnel Division of this Bureau. cdll MISAEL P.
