Prescribing the Use of the Revised BIR Form 1201

June 15, 1982 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 20-82 SUBJECT : Prescribing the Use of the Revised BIR Form 1201 TO : All Regional Directors, Revenue District Officers, Collection Agents and Others Concerned The changes in the tax numeric codes in 1978 made it necessary to revise BIR Form 1201 or the Consolidated Report of Internal Revenue Collection which was rendered obsolete, inadequate and inconsistent with the other reports. The revised form (sample attached) conforms with the new changes in the tax laws and the numeric code. It was designed to make it easy for the collecting officer to accomplish. To insure proper classification of taxes collected, columns were provided for the kind of tax, the corresponding tax numeric code and the BTR/GFS Codes. The space for the Bureau of Treasury/Government Financial Statistics (BTR/GFS) code is included in the form to comply with the requirement of the International Monetary Fund for a uniform classification and identification of government revenues of all member-countries. Revenue District Officers must see to it that all collection agents or the duly designated collecting officers under their jurisdiction have copies of the latest tax numeric code. This form shall be accomplished by the collecting officers in three (3) copies and submitted to the following units within five (5) days after the end of each month. There is no longer any need to provide the Statistical Analysis Division with a copy of the report. Original Accounting Division Duplicate Revenue District Officer Triplicate Collection Agent's Copy This Order revokes or modifies RMO 54-70, 6-72 and RMC 60-72 or all other existing revenue circulars, orders or memoranda or portions thereof which are inconsistent with this memorandum. cd i This Order takes effect immediately upon receipt hereof.
