May 4, 1962 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 19-62 The 6th Management Supervision Seminar in the Bureau of Internal Revenue which is being held at the initiative of the Department of Finance and implemented by the Management and Planning Department through the Training Division with the technical assistance of the Management Service of the Budget Commission will be conducted in Davao City from May 17 to 30, 1962 with Chiefs of Branches and Provincial Revenue Officers of districts Nos. 9 and 10 as participants. (See attached list) cdt The seminar which has involved all ranking officials in the National Office is intended to acquaint all supervisors with management techniques and place them in a better position to initiate improvement in their respective offices. Sessions will be held everyday from 8:00 to 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. except as otherwise indicated in the attached seminar schedule. The Regional Director of Regional District No. 10 shall provide adequate training room and necessary facilities and clerical help. The course consists of 12 sessions of 56 hours which will cover supervision techniques, work simplification, systematic study of organizational and administrative problems and such other areas as would enhance supervisor's participation in the Management Improvement Program of the Bureau. An adequate understanding of these specific concept of management is expected to increase their capability for improving their respective branches or offices through the application of sound supervisory and management practices. After the seminar, the participants are expected to actively undertake a continuing program of improvement activities in their respective organizational units . One hundred percent attendance in this seminar is required. The performance of every participant and his/her compliance with the requirements of the course will be correspondingly recorded in his respective service files. Considering that this training is a requisite to the successful prosecution of the Management Improvement Program, the cooperation of every one concerned in the training phase of the program is enjoined.
