July 19, 2001 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 16-01 SUBJECT : The Use of the Alphanumeric Tax Codes (ATCs) Created Pursuant to RMO No.28-2000 for Certain Taxes Due from the Services of Stock, Real Estate, Commercial and Immigration Brokers is Extended Until December 31, 2002 TO : All Internal Revenues and Others Concerned Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9010 further deferring the effectivity of the imposition of value-added tax on certain services until December 31, 2002, Paragraph 3, Section 1 of Revenue Memorandum Order No. 28-2000 dated July 31, 2000 pertaining to the period of application of the ATCs created for certain taxes due from stock, real estate, commercial, customs and immigration brokers prior to their inclusion into the VAT System, is hereby amended to read as follows: "I. Coverage "Pursuant . . . "xxx xxx xxx " KIND OF TAX " ISSUANCE " ATC "1. . . . . . . . . . "xxx xxx xxx "The aforementioned ATCs shall apply effective January 1, 2000. Provided that, beginning January 1, 2003 the same shall be dropped and replaced by new ATCs to cover income earned from the above-mentioned transactions, which shall then be subjected to VAT pursuant to RepublicActNo. 9010."
