Participation in the Contests on the National Cost Reduction Program of the Government

March 7, 1978 REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 09-78 TO : All Officials and Employees of the Bureau of Internal Revenue SUBJECT : Participation in the Contests on the National Cost Reduction Program of the Government Pursuant to the provisions of LOI No. 635 dated December 13, 1977 and Budget Memorandum Circular No. 201 dated January 10, 1978, the National Cost Reduction Committee is launching the essay, poster design and slogan contests on March 26 to April 1, 1978 for purposes of promoting cost reduction consciousness. cdt Quoted hereunder is the announcement for the Essay Contest on Cost Reduction: "ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE ESSAY CONTEST NATIONAL COST REDUCTION PROGRAM Type of Contest : Essay Contest on Cost Reduction Objective : To generate among government employees cost-consciousness and cost-awareness; to come up with suggestions on appropriate cost-reduction measures which can be implemented within the government and by the government. No. of words : Not more than 5,000 words Language : English or Pilipino Mode : Typewritten on short bond, double spaced in seven (7) copies. Place pen name on entries; pen name and real name on separate sealed envelope. Who may qualify : All contestants must be government employees How to apply : Interested employees must apply to their respective Department Cost Reduction Committees which shall nominate their official entries to the National Essay Contest. Nominations shall be : The National Cost Reduction addressed and Committee c/o Management Office, submitted to Budget Commission, Elliptical Road, Quezon City, Tel. Nos. 99-74-44; 98-77-14. Deadline for submission : All entries must be submitted not later than March 13 1978. Criteria for selection : 80% substance 20% style Awards/Prizes : First Place President Trophy plus P3,000.00 Second Place Commissioner of the Budget Trophy plus P2,000.00 Third Place Chairman of the NSDB Trophy plus P1,000.00 CONSULT YOUR DEPARTMENT COST REDUCTION COMMITTEE OR THE SECRETARIAT OF THE NATIONAL COST REDUCTION COMMITTEE ON FURTHER DETAILS REGARDING THIS CONTEST."
