November 15, 1973 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 58-73 SUBJECT : Revised Schedule of Office Hours of Offices and Work Units Under the Bureau of Internal Revenue TO : All Internal Revenue Officers and Others Concerned Pursuant to exception No. 7 of General Order No. 40 of the President of the Philippines dated November 10, 1973 (copy attached), the Secretary of Finance issued Department Memorandum Circular No. 30-73 quoted hereunder: "November 14, 1973 "DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 30-73 '"TO : All Heads of Bureaus and Offices under the Department of Finance and Provincial/City Treasurers and Assessors and Municipal Treasurers '"SUBJECT : Revised schedule of office hours to be observed by all officials and employees under the Department of Finance including those of the offices of Provincial/City Treasurers and Assessors and Municipal Treasurers "For your information and guidance, the Department of Finance Proper, including the bureaus and offices under it, and offices of Provincial/City Treasurers and Assessors and Municipal Treasurers shall continue to observe the five-days-a-week office work (Monday through Friday). Effective tomorrow, November 15, 1973, however, the official time to be observed by all officials and employees of the aforesaid offices will be revised as follows: 8:00-12:00 in the morning and 1:00-5:00 in the afternoon. In other words, there will be only one shift, instead of two shifts, of personnel under this revised schedule. "This is in line with the current drive geared towards increase in revenue collections by the collecting agencies under the Department of Finance to support the growing government expenditures and to economize on the use of electrical energy. "The Provincial Treasurers shall disseminate the contents hereof to the Municipal Treasurers of their respective provinces. "This Order shall be strictly complied with by all concerned until otherwise revoked. (SGD.) CESAR VIRATA Secretary" The said General Order No. 40 repealed and/or modified all laws, executive orders, rules and regulations, and general orders, or parts thereof, which are inconsistent therewith.
